Chicagoland Gardening Focus Groups

Help us focus the magazine and the garden dialogue in Chicagoland by volunteering for one of our Focus Groups.
We prefer a commitment for both sessions but understand that many events may intervene over the course
of the year.

General Gardening Focus Group:

• Meets on Saturdays, June 27, 2009 and Jan. 9, 2010.
• Meets in our office, 915 Parkview Blvd., Lombard (near I-355 and I-88) from 9:30 to noon. Light refreshments will be served.
• Prerequisite: be an active subscriber to Chicagoland Gardening Magazine.
• Group size: no more than 12.
• What you will be asked to do: answer questions about the magazine, what you like and dislike; join a discussion about the state of gardening, what your neighbors are saying, what special challenges you are encountering that the magazine might consider in an upcoming issue.

• Will meet two Saturdays, July 25, 2009 and Jan. 30, 2010.
• Meets in our office, 915 Parkview Blvd., Lombard (near I-355 and I-88) from 9:30 to noon. Light refreshments will be served.
• Prerequisite: be an active subscriber to Chicagoland Gardening Magazine.
• Group size: no more than 12.
• What you will be asked to do: answer questions about the magazine, what you like and dislike; join a discussion about your generation’s view of ecology, sustainability, environmentalism and where gardening fits with those concepts. Special emphasis on your generation.

       We anticipate more than 12 people will be interested for each group. Please write a short paragraph about yourself and your gardening connections/activities so we may choose a wide-ranging group of interests, i.e., beginning gardeners, gardening affiliations, if you garden with children, etc.
